This year’s edition brings together a remarkable group of young professionals with stellar academic backgrounds and international experiences.
Over the course of a rigorous two-month selection process, we received applications from more than 500 candidates. After careful consideration, only 15 young talents who truly stood out from the crowd have been selected and will take part in the 4th edition of the Savino Del Bene Global Talent Program.
With an average age of 26, these talented individuals are graduates who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements. They possess a thirst for knowledge that has taken them beyond the classroom, immersing themselves in international environments and mastering multiple foreign languages. Alongside their fluency in English, they bring proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French, Korean, Turkish, and Albanian.
The program kicked off with an immersive three-day Training session with the Top Management at our Global Headquarters in Florence. The President Paolo Nocentini, promoter of this initiative, welcomed the young people in the company, illustrating the company’s vision, strategy and values.
Now, the real adventure begins as our participants embark on operational and commercial rotations within our branch offices. Over the next 12 months, they will receive over 200 hours of comprehensive training, focusing on the technical aspects of shipping and logistics. But that’s not all—our program goes beyond technical skills. We aim to nurture well-rounded professionals by emphasizing communication, personal development, and multicultural management.
The training methods we employ are diverse and dynamic. Participants will engage in classroom sessions, embark on eye-opening visits to our warehouses and port terminals, and benefit from the guidance of mentors who will play a pivotal role in their journey. Each participant will have the opportunity to gain a multifaceted understanding of our business by undergoing three rotations across different departments within their assigned branches.
At the end of the 12 months, these talented individuals will be ready to spread their wings and take flight. They will embark on an international assignment, working for one of our 306 offices spread around the world. This experience will further enhance their global perspective and provide them with the skills and insights needed to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
