In 2016, he was presented with the order of the Cavaliere del Lavoro (Knight of Labor). He began his career in the company at the age of 16, in 1957. This started a long ascent in his career that led him, in 1979, to become Sole Director, after taking over the company shares together with four colleagues. Thus, he began a journey of transforming the company from a local business to a major global logistics operator. Always very involved in its operations, he believes that doing business is both an ethical and social responsibility.
The career of Paolo Nocentini, class of 1941, within Savino Del Bene has been unstoppable: from switchboard operator to Chairman and CEO in the span of 22 years. In his lifetime of work, he has transformed a regional shipping company into a global player capable of competing with the biggest international giants.
How did Nocentini succeed in this quest to position Savino Del Bene as the number one Italian company in the industry? Daily commitment, passion for his work, and belief in the individual’s ability to pursue and achieve important results. At 19, he began his journey in the company by following the example of his father, Paolo Nocentini. He embarked on a long journey of professional growth that led him to develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry and, over the years, he performed various roles within the multinational company, specializing in the American market, a strategic area for Savino Del Bene. Driven by lofty ideals and firm principles, he personally participated in the globalization of the company.
Born in 1965, Fabio Nocentini began his career at Savino Del Bene as an operator in international shipping at various levels for major world routes. He specialized in the US market after working during the summers as a porter in the warehouse in Florence. This career path allowed him to develop an overall vision that led him, over the years, to hold increasingly important roles, including at the commercial level.
In 1993, he became head of the sales department for Italy and the US, and after fourteen years, in 2007, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer. His career did not stop there, however, and in 2012, he was first promoted to Chief Operating Officer and then to Executive Vice President in 2015, as well as Chairman of Savino Del Bene USA from 2019.
Having followed in his father’s footsteps, he absorbed his ethics, culture, knowledge, and professionalism. He has been sharing, participating in, and shaping the exponential growth of Savino Del Bene worldwide together with the company’s chairman and management. Fabio represents the continuity of Savino Del Bene’s “philosophy” in the future.
