In fact, this system is based on the principles of honesty, respect and tolerance and reflects the behaviors and standards that we have always strived towards.

WHISTLEBLOWING

Savino Del Bene has always been particularly attentive to preventing risks that could compromise the responsible and sustainable management of its business. Therefore, in accordance with the guidelines of Anac, it has created the Whistleblowing Procedure portal.

SECURITY

At Savino Del Bene, we have undertaken numerous projects to offer a complete security package with the aim of protecting our stakeholders. In doing so, we offer innovative solutions that consider the needs of the modern market.

SUPPLIERS

Our company does not deal with the transport of goods; instead, it organizes shipments by relying on third-party suppliers. Therefore, to ensure the best performance of service delivery, our business partners are carefully selected and evaluated.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The implementation of an Integrated Management System is the result of a corporate choice that assigns primary importance to the issues of quality of services provided, health and safety in the workplace, energy efficiency, environmental protection and social responsibility, all through the adoption of recognized international standards and certifications.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY

In 2021, the Savino Del Bene Group continued its policy of raising awareness with respect to ethics and anti-corruption issues by ensuring that the founding principles guiding their implementation were clear, shared, and understood by all company representatives.

ESG COMMITTEE

In 2024, the group will have a special committee for ESG issues. This committee will have three permanent members and will involve variable members as needed. The permanent members will be the Vice President, the Vice President Leadership Committee Member and the Sustainability and QHSE Manager.

We track each stage of a shipment, enabling immediate checks and analyzing the risks associated with the service offered.

 

Now more than ever, digitization is a strategic requirement that promotes dialogue between our employees and your business, and improves the operational efficiency of the entire company. Safeguarding our IT infrastructure against any attempts at tampering and unauthorized access is a top priority for us at Savino Del Bene. All IT services and IT infrastructure are managed by the Group’s subsidiary company Savino Del Bene IT Srl. This division consists of experienced system administrators who are responsible for protecting our computer network against unauthorized access and cyber attacks.

 

We adopt internal IT processes and security policies subject to annual ITGC (IT General Controls) audits prepared by industry leaders. Our data centers are equipped with the latest backup systems and are duplicated in real time on two servers. Access to data and systems is also based on individual users. Our company’s Information & Technology department has put in place a cyber incident response process that can provide 24-hour emergency service.

 

To facilitate compliance with global safety standards, we have obtained the following certifications:

  • AEO: the Authorized Economic Operator certificate is assigned to companies that meet a set of criteria. These aspects are linked to cooperation with customs authorities in order to ensure the common objective of supply chain security. The purpose of the program is to strengthen international supply chain security and facilitate legitimate trade based on the principles of mutual transparency, fairness, equity and accountability.
  • TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association): the world’s leading supply chain security association. This program aims to protect the integrity of global logistics chains by enabling sustainable supply chain risk management and damage prevention. We are TAPA certified and are periodically reviewed through annual self-assessments.
  • CTPAT: the Customs and Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a voluntary public-private sector partnership with U.S. Customs. The program requires member companies to identify security gaps and implement specific countermeasures. In 2003, we at Savino Del Bene were recognized as one of the first validated companies with regard to shipments.

SUPPLIERS

As an international shipping company, we do not transport goods using our own ships, aircraft, trains or other means. Our company ships the goods by entrusting these services to third-party suppliers. Therefore, in order to guarantee your business receives top-quality service, we select business partners very carefully.

 

Careful selection of suppliers is essential to ensure the safety and quality of the supply chain. Savino Del Bene’s potential business partner must pass our pre-selection screening process, participating in audits to confirm that they meet strict safety standards, which are an integral part of contractual agreements. This ensures that all of our suppliers carry out their activities in a manner that complies with applicable laws and regulations.

 

In addition, through the use of software that we have developed in-house, we review the performance of our suppliers on a periodic basis so that we can assign a positive rating to those who have carried out improvement programs or implemented improvement initiatives.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Integrated Management System enables the Savino Del Bene Group to identify, maintain and improve a dynamic management organizational model from a unified perspective. It is tailored to the needs and special characteristics of the different sectors, making the best use of possible strategies, in accordance with numerous national and international regulations and legislations. Continuous monitoring, proper measurement of performance indicators, scrupulous execution of internal inspections, in-depth analysis of collected data, and prompt implementation of corrective and improvement actions enable the company to increase its performance in terms of safety, environmental protection, and satisfaction of all stakeholders.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY

The holding company and some subsidiaries have adopted and implemented the Organization, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, aimed at reducing the risk that some company representatives may commit offenses, falling within the scope of the regulation’s application, which could result in the company’s liability. The documents that constitute the structure of the Model include the Code of Ethics and the Anti-Corruption Guidelines, both of which have been distributed to all Group Companies. These protocols focus on the ethical principles that inform the corporate culture and must inform the conduct and behavior of those who work in the interest of the Savino Del Bene Group both inside and outside the corporate organization.

 

Among the stated principles, special attention should be paid to: personal integrity understood as loyalty, consistency, fairness, trustworthiness, confidentiality and respect for rules; cooperation understood as a focus on customers and sharing departmental results as the company’s results; enthusiasm understood as a willingness to act promptly and with dedication, a desire to succeed and to measure oneself against increasingly ambitious and challenging goals; and organization understood as a rational approach to problems and the ability to structure work and evaluate suggestions and improvements.

 

The Company operates in accordance with the principles of freedom, respect for human rights and diversity, rejecting any form of discrimination and adopting a zero-tolerance policy in the presence of improper, immoral or illegal actions. The Company is also very careful in managing the supply chain by promoting every effort to work with suppliers, sub-suppliers and partners that can guarantee the ethical and professional standards required for the performance of its business.

 

The Company works to comply with the anti-corruption laws in force in all the countries in which it operates. Compliance with the values contained in the Anti-Corruption Guidelines is also ensured through the collection of information, reports, and violations received by the Board of Directors from the functions and/or Bodies designated for this purpose. Finally, external stakeholders can report any violations found using the company portal in the “Whistleblowing” section.
