Our main resource is people: their skills are the real added value of the company. As our President, Paolo Nocentini, says: “Growth is not possible without the people who stimulate and nurture it”. Precisely for this reason, Savino Del Bene’s human, social and cultural values have been shared with all our offices around the world for over 120 years.

It is the people who work with us who enable us to achieve every goal. This is precisely why we believe that supporting our employees throughout their journey in the company, by providing the best working conditions, should be our highest priority.

WELFARE

The well-being of our employees is one of our top priorities. We are continuously evaluating and improving the safety of the working environment. Adherence to the Group’s health and safety policies and attention to legal regulations and industry standards are fundamental to us; wellness is extended beyond the workplace with initiatives that focus on prevention.

SPONSORSHIP / CHARITABLE INITIATIVES

Our company is committed to investing in the local community. This is why we promote sports activities and charitable initiatives that enable us to support the associations, and in turn the future, of the communities that we are a part of.

OUR PEOPLE

  • Gender equality: We promote gender equality. In fact, 45% of our staff are women and a strong percentage of them are in management positions.
  • Multiculturalism: Multiculturalism is a key element in improving personal and group performance. At Savino Del Bene, we believe that diversity creates value: bringing together talent from around the world broadens horizons, spreads new ideas, and makes it easier to achieve goals.
  • Team-building initiatives: Every year, we organize events and initiatives that aim to celebrate our employees. Award ceremonies are held when specific seniority thresholds are reached, most notably from 10 up to 35 years of seniority, and we schedule Team Building events locally and nationally to build trust and strengthen collaborative rapports.
  • Recruitment and selection: Our application process is clear and straightforward and takes place in a few simple steps. We follow a selection process that is based on the assessment of each candidate at the overall level, both from a preparation and skills point of view and at the human, motivational and values level.
  • Training and Development: We want to guide our employees along a journey of continuous improvement. This is why we invest in training programs that put people at the center, so as to strengthen and consolidate their skills throughout their career in the company. We collaborate with high schools and colleges to help younger people transition into the workforce. In this regard, we have also created a Global Talent Program to promote on-the-job training of recent graduates. This program is updated year by year and covers all areas of business.

WELFARE

Our company carefully assesses the risks to the health and safety of our employees. Some of the initiatives carried out so far include free medical visits, continuous internal inspections to assess the suitability of the workplace and ongoing staff training.

 

We conduct annual medical examinations to monitor the health of those who work with us. Furthermore, we have become a heart safe area with the purchase of the defibrillators. The purpose of this initiative is to increase the safety of our employees, as well as to protect and promote the well-being of the entire community.

 

All our employees are required to participate in regular health and safety training courses. During these meetings, staff are shown the potential hazards they may face in the workplace and are instructed on the preventive measures taken to protect their health within the operating spaces.

SPONSORSHIP/CHARITABLE INITIATIVES

  • Savino Del Bene Volley: Sponsorship of the Scandicci Florence women’s volleyball team enabled Savino Del Bene Volleyball to qualify for Serie A1 in the 2013/2014 championship and win its first trophy: the 2021–2022 Challenge Cup. We support sports because they represent the values we believe in: active living, togetherness, shared goals and a love of community. That is why we support our female athletes and spread the passion for volleyball in Italy and abroad through the team’s successes.
  • Abbey of San Salvatore and San Lorenzo in Settimo: Through a major donation, in 2019, our company helped renovate and reunite the Abbey of San Salvatore and San Lorenzo in Settimo 236 years after their division. It is a religious and cultural symbol with strong historical and artistic value for the area.
  • Los Quinchos: Every year, we collect food and basic necessities to send to Los Quinchos, a charity that provides hospitality and support to abandoned and abused children in Nicaragua.
  • ADMO (Bone Marrow Donor Association): Our Group supports ADMO (Bone Marrow Donor Association) and encourages all our employees to register as potential donors, while raising community awareness about the importance of this initiative.
  • Support and transport of materials in emergency situations: Savino Del Bene is always on the front lines when there is a need to help in emergency situations. In this regard, we organize shipments dedicated exclusively to the delivery of important supplies.

Spedizioni marittime “Full Container Load”

Questo servizio è la formula ottimale per lo spostamento di grandi quantitativi. Infatti il container viene riempito totalmente con la merce di un unico destinatario. Una tra le soluzioni più utilizzate è quella door to door, a cui si aggiunge, oltre alla spedizione via mare, un servizio multimodale su gomma o su rotaia, indipendentemente da quale sia il punto di partenza o di destinazione.
