Savino Del Bene attended the “Environmental Sustainability: a Shared Commitment,” conference held on November 30th which was organized by Fedespedi in collaboration with the Green Transition Hub of the LIUC Business School.
The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, Hon. Edoardo Rix, opened the event which provided a platform for industry leaders, along with Savino Del Bene, to hold discussions on sustainable practices within the shipping and logistics sector. A highpoint of the event was the unveiling of a publication from the “I Quaderni di Fedespedi” series, which showed the results from the KPI and environmental sustainability project.
This ambitious project, undertaken in collaboration with the Green Transition Hub of the LIUC Cattaneo University, was coordinated by the Fedespedi Study Center. It involved 13 pilot companies associated with the Federation, with Savino Del Bene prominently featured among them.
The focus of the project was the identification of 37 key indicators designed to measure the environmental performance related to the operations of shipping companies. This extensive research initiative provided valuable insights on the shipping industry’s impact on the environment.
Savino Del Bene’s involvement in the project is another example of our proactive approach to the development of eco-friendly practices within the logistics industry. The collaboration with Fedespedi and the Green Transition Hub reinforces Savino Del Bene’s commitment to leading the way for positive change in the shipping and logistics sectors.
